Oh, There He Is!
On November 8, 2020 by Amy BurginReading Time: < 1 minuteEvil unrelated to pandemics or elections, but touching much more personal and important things, falls heavy on me tonight.
Its darkness and lies attempt to blind me, scare me and order me to the corner of the room with a dunce hat covered in labels such as “gloom,” “hopeless,” “failure” and “regret.”
I refuse to obey the bully of darkness but I can’t fight this battle alone.
I’m so weak.
I try to practice the art of ChristGazing. I can’t see Him at first so simply ask, “Jesus, where are you?”
Oh, there He is, exposing sin hidden in the dark. Who can hide from my God? Praise the Lord!
There He is, turning what the enemy meant for evil to good on my behalf! Thank you Lord!
There He is, victorious over that which tries to scare me! Who can defeat my Almighty Father?
There He is, loving me, His daughter! Wow! Wow! Wow!
How in the world can I go to the corner with that stupid hat on knowing all of this? Impossible!
